Users may include Pupils (learners), Instructors (including PDIs), Driving Schools, and general visitors.
2. Platform Purpose and Services
YooDrive connects Pupils with DVSA-registered Instructors and verified Driving Schools. We act as a booking and messaging platform, payment agent, and review host — not a provider of driving instruction.
YooDrive acts solely as a digital intermediary and technology platform and does not employ or franchise instructors or schools.
3. User Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
You must not create multiple or fraudulent accounts.
4. Instructor Listings and the Open Government Licence (OGL)
Some Instructor profile data displayed on YooDrive may be sourced from the public DVSA Approved Driving Instructor register under the Open Government Licence (OGL v3.0). This data includes names, postal areas, but we avoid publishing email addresses and mobile numbers.
These listings are published for informational purposes and do not imply endorsement or contractual involvement until the Instructor signs up and accepts our terms.
YooDrive does not represent these Instructors beyond the scope of the DVSA’s published register. Any features, reviews, or profile enhancements beyond the public data only apply to Instructors who have explicitly registered with YooDrive and accepted our Service Agreement.
Instructors whose listings are displayed on YooDrive under OGL have the right to request the removal of their data under UK GDPR. Removal requests can be made by emailing support@YooDrive.co.uk with some proof of identity.
5. Bookings and Payments
All bookings are made through the YooDrive platform. Prices displayed include a 12% platform fee added to a base rate set by your selected Instructor or School.
Our platform fee helps fund our technology, marketing, Instructor licence verification, customer support, review verification, payment protection and scam prevention systems that make YooDrive the safest and most transparent place to book your driving lessons.
Payments are securely processed via Stripe Connect.
Payouts to Instructors and Schools occur 48 hours after a service is completed.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson may be charged in full.
Charges will be automatically deducted from the pupil’s YooDrive balance, or payment card where applicable.
If a pupil disputes a cancellation charge, they must provide supporting evidence within 24 hours of the lesson time.
YooDrive reserves the right to waive charges at its discretion, including for cases involving medical emergencies or DVSA test cancellations.
Instructors are required to report no-shows or late cancellations through the platform’s reporting system to initiate a charge.
Pupils must cancel bookings at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.
Missed lessons or late cancellations may be charged in full.
Refunds are at the discretion of YooDrive, acting as agent.
7. Consent and Communication
By using YooDrive, you may or may not consent to the following (where selected via checkboxes):
