These Service Provider Terms apply to ADIs, PDIs, instructors, mentors, driving schools, school owners, school administrators, team users and any service provider using YooDrive.
Instructors, PDIs, mentors and driving schools are independent service providers. YooDrive does not employ, franchise or control service providers.
Each service provider is responsible for their own legal, tax, insurance, DVSA, data protection, vehicle, safeguarding, consumer and professional obligations.
Service providers must ensure that their profile status, DVSA registration, PDI/ADI status, qualifications, licence, insurance, vehicle roadworthiness, MOT/tax status, training status and right to provide driving lessons are accurate and up to date.
PDIs and mentors must ensure that any PDI status, sponsorship, supervision, training arrangement or school link shown through YooDrive is accurate and lawful.
ICO registration is not mandatory in every circumstance for every instructor or school. Each instructor and school is responsible for assessing whether they are required to register with the Information Commissioner's Office and for complying with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, PECR and other applicable data protection and privacy laws.
YooDrive recommends that instructors and schools review their ICO registration position and register where required or appropriate. YooDrive may request an ICO registration number or other reasonable data protection compliance information where appropriate.
Service providers are responsible for keeping profile details, rates, availability, lesson types, areas served, cancellation settings, booking-fee settings, languages, transmission types, qualifications and school/team links accurate.
YooDrive may reduce visibility, suspend profiles or correct/remove content where information appears inaccurate, misleading, outdated or harmful.
Where an instructor, school or team user receives, accepts, responds to, or otherwise engages with a pupil enquiry introduced through YooDrive, that pupil is treated as a YooDrive-introduced pupil unless YooDrive agrees otherwise or the service provider can reasonably evidence that the pupil was already their existing pupil or came from their own source before the YooDrive enquiry was received.
Service providers must not use any YooDrive feature to move a YooDrive-introduced pupil off-platform for the purpose of avoiding YooDrive's booking process, payment process, wallet process, cancellation terms, verified reviews, platform fees, Balance Assurance, Community Fee arrangements or any other YooDrive terms.
Prohibited conduct includes:
Where an instructor accepts a pupil enquiry and creates a booking, the instructor must ensure the booking reflects the hourly rate, YooDrive Booking Fee setting and cancellation terms displayed to the pupil through YooDrive at the time the pupil submitted the enquiry.
Instructors and schools must not create bookings using terms that differ materially from those shown to the pupil at enquiry stage unless the pupil has accepted the revised terms through YooDrive.
Instructors may be able to choose whether the £1.50 YooDrive Booking Fee is paid by the learner, absorbed by the instructor, or split between them. The instructor is responsible for selecting the correct setting.
The selected booking-fee treatment will be displayed to the learner before enquiry submission and will be fixed for the booking once confirmed.
Instructors are responsible for selecting and maintaining their cancellation setting in YooDrive. Supported settings may include 24-hour cancellation terms, 48-hour cancellation terms, or no late-cancellation charge.
The selected cancellation setting will be shown to pupils before enquiry submission and fixed for bookings created from that enquiry unless revised terms are accepted by the pupil through YooDrive.
Service providers are responsible for keeping Stripe Connect, bank, tax and payout information accurate and verified.
Payouts may be delayed, blocked or cancelled where Stripe, a bank or YooDrive requires verification, detects risk, receives a chargeback/dispute, identifies invalid details or is required to comply with law or payment-provider rules.
Schools may use YooDrive team account features to manage school profile content, instructor/team links, team visibility, diary visibility, pupil enquiry access, Community Fee settings, settlement reports and school website/widget tools where available.
Where a school-linked instructor or school/team account is involved, the school may access pupil enquiry or booking data for legitimate booking administration, service delivery, support, quality control, safety, dispute handling, scheduling, mentoring or school/team management purposes.
Instructors may invite their own existing pupils or self-generated pupils into YooDrive's protected booking flow where the platform supports this.
Once the pupil books through YooDrive, the relevant YooDrive booking, wallet, cancellation, payment and review terms apply.
This does not permit a service provider to reclassify YooDrive-introduced pupils as self-generated pupils without evidence.
Service providers acknowledge that Transaction-Verified Reviews (TVRs) may only arise from completed paid YooDrive bookings.
