These Platform Terms apply to all users of YooDrive.com and the YooDrive platform, including visitors, pupils, learners, family/friend contributors, instructors, PDIs, mentors, driving schools and school/team administrators.
YooDrive is operated by Dustcap UK LTD trading as YooDrive.com. YooDrive provides a digital platform for verified instructor discovery, pupil enquiries, booking administration, platform messaging, YooDrive Wallet, payment processing support, cancellation handling, school/team account tools and Transaction-Verified Reviews.
YooDrive is not the driving lesson provider. Driving lessons are provided by independent instructors, PDIs, mentors, schools or training providers. YooDrive does not employ, franchise, supervise or control instructors or schools unless expressly stated in writing.
The YooDrive terms are made up of:
If a more specific part of the terms applies to a particular feature or transaction, that specific part takes priority over these general Platform Terms for that feature or transaction.
Pupils and learners may create a YooDrive account if they are aged 17 or over, or where YooDrive otherwise permits access. YooDrive may require age confirmation before account creation, wallet use, payment, contribution or booking.
Users must provide accurate account information, keep login credentials secure and must not create fraudulent, misleading or duplicate accounts. YooDrive may suspend or close accounts where misuse, fraud, safety concerns, regulatory concerns or breach of terms is suspected.
Some instructor profile data displayed on YooDrive may be sourced from publicly available DVSA Approved Driving Instructor register data under the Open Government Licence v3.0. YooDrive may use such data to create directory-style or unclaimed profile pages for public information, search and consumer-safety purposes.
Unclaimed listings do not mean that the instructor has joined YooDrive, endorsed YooDrive, accepted YooDrive bookings or entered into a contract with YooDrive. Claimed profile features, reviews, booking tools, messaging, enhanced profile content and platform transactions apply only where the instructor or school has accepted the relevant YooDrive terms.
Users must not misuse YooDrive, impersonate another person, publish false information, interfere with platform security, scrape platform data, upload malicious code, abuse messaging, misuse reviews, or use YooDrive to promote unlawful, fraudulent or misleading activity.
Users must not use YooDrive to avoid YooDrive's booking, payment, cancellation, review, data protection, Community Fee, Balance Assurance or platform-fee arrangements. Specific anti-circumvention duties for instructors and schools are set out in the Service Provider Terms.
YooDrive charges and payment flows may include the instructor's lesson price, the YooDrive Booking Fee, Balance Assurance, gift voucher purchase amounts, wallet top-ups and, where relevant, settlement allocations such as school Community Fees. The total amount payable by a pupil or contributor will be displayed before the relevant payment, enquiry, top-up, contribution, voucher purchase or booking action.
YooDrive aims to provide reliable access but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. YooDrive may change, suspend, improve or withdraw features as the platform develops, including wallet, booking, payment, school, review, AI, analytics, profile and messaging features.
YooDrive's branding, software, platform design, profile systems, review systems, booking tools, content, text, graphics, logos, data structures and workflows belong to Dustcap UK LTD or its licensors, except for content lawfully supplied by users or sourced under public licences such as OGL.
Users must not copy, reverse engineer, misrepresent, resell or misuse YooDrive intellectual property.
YooDrive may use analytics, automation and AI-supported tools to understand platform performance, improve user experience, support marketing efficiency, identify fraud/risk signals, assess booking patterns and improve product development.
YooDrive will not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users without appropriate safeguards.
YooDrive may suspend, restrict or terminate access where a user breaches these terms, creates risk to pupils, instructors, schools or YooDrive, misuses data, attempts to circumvent YooDrive, commits fraud, acts abusively, fails required verification, or creates regulatory, safeguarding, payment or reputational risk.
YooDrive is responsible for operating the YooDrive platform with reasonable skill and care. YooDrive is not responsible for lesson performance, test results, instructor conduct, pupil conduct, school management, off-platform arrangements, third-party payment delays, third-party service outages, or losses caused by events outside YooDrive's reasonable control, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
YooDrive may act as an initial platform reviewer for booking, payment, cancellation, no-show, review, wallet, school or Community Fee disputes. YooDrive may make platform decisions such as releasing payment, returning wallet credit, moderating reviews, suspending access or adjusting account status.
Users may still pursue legal rights outside the platform where permitted by law.
YooDrive may update these terms from time to time as the platform, payment flows, refund processes, school features, wallet features or legal requirements develop. Updated terms will apply from the date they are published or accepted.
Existing confirmed bookings will normally remain governed by the terms accepted or displayed at the time of booking unless required by law or agreed otherwise.
These terms are governed by Scots law, unless mandatory consumer law gives a consumer the right to rely on the law or courts of another UK jurisdiction. Consumers retain any mandatory legal rights available to them under applicable UK consumer law.
